Letter from our Founder:

“When I was young, my mother often encouraged me and my siblings to help others, whether it meant offering our time, money, or efforts. She always emphasized the importance of giving selflessly, consistently and smartly.

Years later, when I was in the army and moving around frequently, I had a great opportunity to withdraw money directly from my pay to sponsor charities of my choice. Although I participated in this, I had no idea what my contribution was actually being used for.

In today’s fast pace world, I am directly involved with the ministries of people who I trust to feed the needy, teach others, and go out into the world to profess the name of Jesus Christ. Although I feel that these efforts are important and necessary, I typically find the task of giving to be tedious, complex, and time consuming. In addition, as I had discovered in the army, I am usually unaware of how my donations are specifically impacting lives.

I created OneGift to solve the communication and giving process and in the process make it simple and fun.  The next time I wonder why my credit card was hit for a dollar amount, I merely have to look at the onegift page to put a smile on my faces and remember all the impact of my obedience.

I hope that you will find the same joy that I do in giving to help others, and in using OneGift to see firsthand the fruits of your gifts. As the Bible tells us in 2 Corinthians 9:7, “Each man should give what he has decided in his heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.”

Be cheerful my friends!
